I seriously don't know why so many people think chickens can't fly. They don't fly terribly well, but trust me, they DO FLY. My mom raises chickens, so I know them pretty well. Most farmers clip the wing feathers of the chickens to keep them from flying away, but if you don't clip them, they most certainly do fly. Often I've wandered into Mom's backyard to find her chickens sitting in a plum tree. So, then... who's the dumbass? Yep. That'd be you.
